Spring arrived at the Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland on March 27th, along with valuable resources for Bucks County seniors. Bucks County Transport’s Customer Service & Administrative Manager Lisa Lange represented BCT at the Senior Expo hosted by State Representative Kristin Marcell, connecting with community members from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The expo brought together seniors and service providers in an elegant setting, creating an ideal environment for meaningful conversations about available community resources. BCT’s presence ensured that attendees learned about transportation options that can help them maintain independence and access essential services throughout Bucks County.
Lisa was available throughout the three-hour event to answer questions about BCT’s various programs, discuss eligibility requirements, and explain how paratransit services work. These face-to-face interactions allow seniors to ask specific questions about their individual transportation needs and receive personalized guidance.
Senior expos like this one serve a vital function in connecting older residents with the services designed to support them. Many seniors aren’t aware of all the transportation resources available until they have the opportunity to speak directly with organizations like BCT at community events.
Representative Marcell’s commitment to hosting events that bring resources directly to her constituents demonstrates strong community leadership. By creating spaces where seniors can explore multiple services under one roof, these expos remove barriers to information and make it easier for residents to access the help they need.
BCT appreciates Representative Marcell’s dedication to serving seniors in her district and the opportunity to participate in events that strengthen connections between service providers and the communities they serve.
