On September 5, 2024, Bucks County Transport (BCT) was proud to participate in the Senior Expo hosted by Pennsylvania State Representative Tina Davis. The event took place at the Bristol Township Senior Center from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, providing valuable resources and information to local seniors.
BCT was well-represented at the expo by two senior staff members: Lisa Triolo, Office Manager and Outreach Coordinator, and Lisa Soltner, South Terminal Manager. Their presence at the event underscores BCT’s commitment to serving and supporting the senior community in Bucks County.
The Senior Expo, an annual event organized by Rep. Tina Davis, aims to connect older adults with various services and resources available in the community. As a crucial transportation provider for seniors in the area, BCT’s participation was particularly significant.
During the event, Lisa Triolo and Lisa Soltner had the opportunity to engage with numerous seniors and their families. They provided information about BCT’s services, including our paratransit options, which are especially beneficial for seniors who may have mobility challenges or have stopped driving.
“Events like these are invaluable for us to connect directly with the seniors we serve,” said Lisa Triolo. “We were able to answer many questions about our services, explain how to schedule rides, and discuss the various destinations we cover.”
“Many seniors were excited to learn about the independence and freedom our transportation services can provide. It’s rewarding to see how our work can positively impact their daily lives.”
BCT’s participation in the Senior Expo aligns with our ongoing mission to provide accessible, reliable transportation to all members of our community, with a particular focus on those who might otherwise face mobility challenges. We look forward to continuing our support of local seniors and participating in future community events.
