Bucks County Transport, Inc. (BCT) is proud to announce that Michael Balis, a driver based at our Holicong terminal, has been named the winner of the STAR Employee Bonus Program for the third quarter of 2026.
Michael was honored at an award ceremony held on Wednesday, October 14 at the Holicong terminal, where CEO Jim Raymond and members of the committee presented him with his award, joined by coworkers and leadership celebrating his achievement. He received a $500 bonus, a framed certificate, and a recognition pin.
Recognized by His Peers
The STAR Employee Bonus Program is BCT’s quarterly, peer-nominated recognition initiative. Employees nominate coworkers who exemplify our core values of Communication, Courage, Impact, Passion, Honesty, and Selflessness, and who make a real difference in the lives of the clients and communities we serve.
Michael received several nominations from his coworkers this quarter, a sign of how widely his contributions are noticed. Since joining BCT earlier this year, he has cross-trained to drive for both our Shared Ride service and the DART System, and when the new DART East line serving Warminster launched in September, he was among the experienced drivers who stepped up to help cover the new route. Michael’s nominators kept coming back to the same theme: when a ride needs covering, he volunteers, again and again. They described him as selfless and flexible at all times, willing to pick up any shift, any route, any time. That kind of dependability keeps our clients moving and takes pressure off the entire team, and it is the core value of Selflessness in action. His flexibility is just one of the reasons his coworkers put his name forward.
