Bucks County Transport (BCT) recently participated in Doylestown Township’s popular Touch-A-Truck event at Central Park. The free community event attracted families from across the region who came to explore a variety of vehicles up close.
BCT was proudly represented by Jim Donnelly, a driver from our DART System, who welcomed visitors to explore our paratransit vehicle and learn more about the transportation services we provide throughout Bucks County.
“Touch-A-Truck events are wonderful opportunities to connect with the community,” said Charlie Marcakis, DART Systems Manager. “Many residents aren’t aware of all the transportation options available to them until they see our vehicles and speak with our team members in person.”
Throughout the event, BCT distributed informational materials about both our DART and Shared Ride programs. Visitors were able to ask questions about service areas, eligibility requirements, and how to schedule rides.
The festive atmosphere at Central Park provided an ideal setting for community engagement, with children enjoying the chance to see various vehicles up close.
BCT regularly participates in community events throughout Bucks County as part of our ongoing commitment to raise awareness about accessible transportation options for all residents.
