BCT Returns to CMTI Fall Training Event in Yardley

Bucks County Transport’s Customer Service & Administrative Manager Lisa Lange represented BCT at the Case Manager Training Initiative (CMTI) event on October 9th in Yardley.

Hosted by Magellan at 790 Township Line Road, this marks BCT’s fourth time participating in this valuable training opportunity.

The CMTI event brings together new case managers and community service providers to build connections and share information about available resources. For BCT, it provides an essential platform to introduce transportation services to case managers who work directly with clients needing Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) services.

Educating Case Managers About MATP

During the event, Lisa provided comprehensive information about MATP and how BCT can help clients access transportation to and from medical appointments. Case managers had the opportunity to ask detailed questions about how transportation services work for their clients, including eligibility requirements, scheduling procedures, and service areas.

“We love attending this event because we get to meet new case managers, answer questions, and form relationships with both the case managers and other vendors within the community,” said Lange. “These connections are vital because case managers are often the bridge between clients and the services they need.”

Building Community Partnerships

The CMTI training initiative plays a crucial role in ensuring that case managers are well-informed about all available resources in Bucks County. When case managers understand how MATP works and what BCT offers, they can better assist their clients in accessing necessary medical care without transportation being a barrier.

BCT’s repeated invitations to participate in CMTI events reflect the organization’s reputation as a reliable community partner and the value that case managers place on understanding transportation options for their clients.

The relationships formed at events like these strengthen the network of support available to vulnerable community members who depend on multiple services to maintain their health and independence.

BCT looks forward to continuing its partnership with Magellan and participating in future CMTI training events to support case managers throughout Bucks County.
