Bucks County Transport participated in the Disability Resource Fair hosted by PA State Representative Tim Brennan and PA State Senator Steve Santarsiero on April 10, 2025. The event was held at New Hope Solebury High School from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, bringing together organizations that serve adults and children with disabilities and their caregivers.
Ellen Melson, BCT’s Customer Relations Manager, represented our organization at this important community event. Throughout the evening, she provided comprehensive information about BCT’s transportation services, with particular focus on programs that support individuals with disabilities.
“I explained the waiver program, reimbursements, Medicaid and PWD program,” Melson shared. “It is a great feeling helping everyone with their transportation needs.”
The fair created an excellent opportunity for community members to connect directly with government agencies and support organizations. For BCT, it provided a platform to highlight our services and answer specific questions from potential clients and their families.
A highlight of the event was the positive feedback received about BCT’s DART program. Multiple attendees commented on how the program provides crucial accessibility for clients to reach employment opportunities, highlighting the vital role transportation plays in supporting independence for individuals with disabilities.
Events like the Disability Resource Fair allow BCT to strengthen our community connections and ensure that all residents are aware of the transportation options available to them. We extend our appreciation to PA State Representative Brennan and PA State Senator Santarsiero for organizing this valuable resource for the community.
