Bucks County Transport participated in the Upper Bucks Transition Fair on April 24, 2025, an important event presented collaboratively by Palisades, Pennridge, and Quakertown School Districts. The fair provided essential resources for individuals with disabilities to help guide their post-secondary transition planning process.
BCT was represented by Audra Chantelau, Director of Operations, who shared information about transportation services available to students as they transition from high school to the next phase of their lives.
“I spoke with several attendees about our PWD services that can transport them to and from work, as well as services to the community college and other destinations,” Chantelau reported. “It was rewarding to help these students and their families understand how reliable transportation can support their independence after graduation.”
The event featured numerous information tables from various organizations, all focused on helping individuals with disabilities access resources and support for life after high school. The Upper Bucks Technical School was also present, showcasing their programs and opportunities.
For Chantelau, the event held special significance. “As a former graduate of Quakertown, it was great to see all the interaction with individuals and helping them get the information needed after graduation,” she shared.
Attendees and vendors enjoyed refreshments provided by the event organizers as they networked and gathered valuable information. Throughout the fair, Chantelau highlighted the various transportation services BCT can provide to support students with disabilities as they pursue education, employment, and community engagement opportunities.
BCT’s participation in this transition fair demonstrates our commitment to serving all members of our community and ensuring that transportation is never a barrier to independence and opportunity.
