Bucks County Transport (BCT) was proud to participate in National Night Out on Wednesday, August 6th, at Peddler’s Village in Buckingham Township. The free community event, presented by the Buckingham Township Police Department in partnership with Peddler’s Village, brought together residents from across the area to strengthen community bonds and promote safety.
BCT’s Customer Relations Manager Ellen Melson represented the organization at our informational booth throughout the evening event, which ran from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Ellen was available to answer questions about BCT’s transportation services and connect with community members who may benefit from our programs.
“National Night Out provides an excellent opportunity for us to meet face-to-face with residents and let them know about the transportation resources available in their community,” said Melson. “Many people don’t realize the range of services we offer until they have a chance to speak with us directly.”
The evening featured a festive atmosphere with local officers and their K-9 companions, live music, local vendors, and food trucks. The event exemplified the spirit of National Night Out, which aims to bring communities together to create safer and stronger neighborhoods.
National Night Out is celebrated in thousands of communities across the country, all working toward the common goal of building better relationships between residents, local organizations, and law enforcement. BCT’s participation reflects our commitment to being an active part of the Bucks County community we serve.
Events like National Night Out help raise awareness about the various resources available to residents, including BCT’s paratransit services that help ensure transportation accessibility for all community members.
