On September 7, 2024, BCT participated in a Senior Expo organized by PA State Representative Brian Munroe. The event, held at Central Bucks High School South from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, provided an excellent opportunity for BCT to connect with local seniors and share information about our services.
Representing BCT at the expo were Customer Service Representative Jane Andrews and Customer Service Manager Ellen Melson. Their presence demonstrated BCT’s commitment to community outreach and ensuring that seniors in Bucks County are aware of the transportation options available to them.
This expo marked a significant milestone for Jane, as it was her first outreach event with BCT. Despite being new to this aspect of her role, Jane excelled in her interactions with the seniors attending the event. Her colleague noted that she did an outstanding job engaging with attendees and addressing their questions about BCT’s services.
Ellen Melson, with her wealth of experience in customer service, provided valuable support and guidance throughout the event. Together, Jane and Ellen formed an effective team, ensuring that all inquiries were handled professionally and comprehensively.
Throughout the three-hour event, the BCT representatives fielded a wide range of questions from seniors and their families. They provided information on BCT’s paratransit services, explained the process for scheduling rides, and discussed the various destinations covered by our transportation network.
“It was inspiring to see how engaged and interested the seniors were in learning about our services,” said Ellen Melson. “Events like these are crucial in helping us reach out to those who might benefit most from our transportation options.”
